Welcome to the new Rib Lake Public Library Blog!
My name is Tammie and I'm the Director at the library. I'm hoping to make this blog an assortment of random ramblings from, not only me, but the rest of the staff and Trustees. We're going to try to rotate blog authors and subjects so that we can reach and inform a wide variety of people on a wide variety of topics. Since the purpose of public libraries is to provide equal access to all our patrons, we feel that this should also be the purpose of this blog. In other words, if you don't like the latest post, don't give up on us because you might really like the next one!
I've had some quiet time on my hands lately, but I haven't read anything interesting. However, I have been binge watching a few shows and catching up on previous seasons. I have a wish list for everything, and one of them is for television shows and movies. One show that I'm watching from the beginning is Elementary with Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu. It's a modern day version of Sherlock Holmes with all the usual characters. I know most of you know all about it already because its been on for 5 seasons, but I'm just starting. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it and wish I'd started sooner!
And... since it Thanksgiving week, I thought I would add (for your reading AND eating experience) an article on the history and variations of Green Bean Casserole.
